PLUTO - AT THE EDGE © 1983

Pluto is seen in the sky of its satellite Charon. Both bodies are suspected to be covered in rocky ice and may have tenuous atmospheres of methane as well. Seen over an ice filled crater on Charon's surface, Pluto's smooth appearance is also caused by surface ice which covers impact craters.
